			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>&#8220;The ‘ford squad&#8221; have announced what appears to be the first big wave of live music this year with &#8220;Radio Unfriendly&#8221; at the <a title="Shrewsbury Arms" href="http://stafforduk.com/places-in-stafford/shrewsbury-arms/">Shrewsbury Arms</a> &#8211; Friday 6th Feb 2009, 7:30pm onwards.</p>
<p>The Manchesteroid band <a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/sophienelson">Sophie&#8217;s Pigeons</a> are set to play &#8220;gauche, exuberant off kilter indie-folk&#8221; music.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/mauskramp">MausKramp</a> will be there with some new material of a &#8220;Bad tempered Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Roll Disco&#8221; flavour.</p>
<p>A band wearing masks, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/hotbone">Hot Bone</a> will be &#8220;turning against all which has the stale narrator&#8221;. Should be a tad different.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/werocklikegirlsdont">We Rock Like Girls Don&#8217;t</a> are also playing. For the namedrop, they have performed with The Killers as well as headlined at club NME in Nottingham and Glasgow and have Radio 1 airplay. They are &#8220;loud, violent and brash&#8221; and list The Jesus &amp; Mary Chain, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Sonic Youth as their influences.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/hellobigworld">Hello Big World</a> will be putting on an acoustic set, and claim &#8220;We are cool&#8221;.</p>
